Expatriate Bangladeshis are contributing for the country

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has asked the diplomats of the country to fulfill their responsibilities sincerely to provide proper services to the expatriate Bangladeshis all over the world besides increasing trade and commerce.

"You (diplomats) need to provide proper services to the expatriates and their well-being," she said.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina made the call while inaugurating the extended chancery of the Bangladesh High Commission Building (BHC)virtually from her residence in London on Sunday (November 7) morning local time.

She further mentioned that expatriate Bangladeshis all over the world are contributing for the country.

The Prime Minister said in the present era, in fact, diplomacy is not just political diplomacy; it has turned into economic diplomacy.

The Prime Minister said that on the one hand, highlighting Bangladesh, highlighting the history and heritage of Bangladesh, as well as socio-economic development, how we can increase our exports, how to increase investment, how the country's socio-economic development, how the country's people can be better. Need to take.

Sheikh Hasina said in today's world no one can go ahead and improve alone. Now a concerted effort is also needed. With this in mind, every diplomatic mission has a huge responsibility.

Sheikh Hasina called upon the concerned authorities to take discussions and take measures for socio-economic development besides increasing exports and investment.

She said the government is working towards this goal following the foreign policy given by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

She further said that Bangladesh is no longer lagging behind, but is moving forward with the status of a developing country and is becoming a developed country by maintaining this status.

The English Heritage Blue Plague and the Marble Plague has opened in a new building next to the existing BHC to serve expatriate Bangladeshis more easily.

Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen and High Commissioner Sayda Muna Tasnim also spoke on the occasion.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Hasan Mahmud, PM's private industry and investment adviser Salman F Rahman and others were present at the BHC.
