"Our love still blooms in rose," said Mausumi Bhowmik in a popular song. That could be the real picture of this spring. But it did not happen. Love has fallen head over heels on the battlefield, on the shores of the Black Sea where bloody and desolate Ukraine is facing Russian aggression.

While death and grief are manifested in the protracted and ongoing onslaught of the global pandemic Corona, this spring, people all over the world, in cities, towns and villages, have fallen in love with roses and flowers. But in the first week of the spring season, love stopped and the battle cry of Europe came.

Russian-Ukrainian tensions have been going on for some time. The international community was also vocal in this crisis. Polarization was also taking place for and against secretly and openly. Suddenly, Russian President Vladimir Putin began his speech. Ukraine, a peaceful and innocent state, has been cornered by Russian aggression from three sides. The capital, Kyiev, was on the verge of collapse on the second day of the war.

Important towns, installations and nuclear centers have been occupied by the invading Russian forces. People are fleeing in different directions. Foreigners stranded in Ukraine are reporting tragic details. Europe has never seen such a terrible and horrible spring except the First and Second World Wars.

Although the Persian rose is the best in the world, this flower is famous in Europe. The German poet Rilke was vocal in his praise of roses. Roses top the list of love gifts. The red rose, once considered a symbol of love, is now blood-stained. The scent of roses mixed with love is now burning like gunpowder on the battlefield.

Instead of roses, bayonet and lethal weapons are peeking out of the relationship that has become magical this spring. Someone puts flowers in the head of a lover out of love, while someone takes care of the gift flower and puts it in the groove of a favorite chapter of a story book. Hundreds of thousands of roses are now being killed and looted in the deserts of Ukraine.

In the spring and the season of love, they buy flowers for the beloved person next to them, whether it is a lover or a loved one, they are now in the group of the dead or instead of a living loved one arranging roses of pain in the frozen coffin of his corpse. Parallel to Corona, these deaths of war are covering the body of love and spring with a black sheet of brutality.

Ukraine is an undisputed land of two beaches and numerous sights. There people are greeted with greetings of love and flowers. Fearless lovers walk on the path of exuberance with flowers in their hands. Throughout the year, the country is at the 'spring awakening door'. Throughout the year, lively people gather for the colorful organization of the festival. Roses in hand, love in the touch of spring in mind and the festival goes there holding hands.

Ukrainians start the year with Rose Day. Then comes Propose Day, Chocolate Day, Teddy Day, Promise Day, Hug Day, Kiss Day and much awaited Valentine's Day. The love affair lasted for a week in a twin atmosphere. Hell torment is going on in such a springy February to celebrate every feeling of love separately by darkening the outer garments and lights of love. Aggression has ruined roses and love. Yet every anti-war man in the world has stood by Ukraine, a war-torn country of love and roses, with fearless moral courage.
