Bangladesh is going to get about TK. 6000 crore from the World Bank as budget support. This amount will be available within next June.
Central Bank Governor Abdur Rauf Talukder, who is visiting the United States, said this on Monday (April 10). He is leading the Bangladesh delegation at the Spring meeting at the World Bank headquarters in Washington DC.
On the first day of the meeting, the Governor of Bangladesh Bank discussed the current situation of the country’s economy in a meeting with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank.
Abdur Rauf Talukder said, we are working with 500 million dollars which is in the final stage. We will further talk about that. Once this is done we hope to get the funding before June 30.
The Governor of the Central Bank said, hoping that the consumers of Bangladesh will soon get the benefits of lower prices of goods around the world, it will take some time. Consumers are expected to benefit when the taka and dollar stabilize.
