Haileybury Valuka School offers scholarships worth 15 million dollar

Haileybury Valuka, Bangladesh's first premier international residential school, has launched an Academic Excellence Scholarship worth USD 15 million.

Through this fund, students will get the opportunity to get merit-based scholarship up to 100%.

Haileybury Valuka launched this scholarship in a ceremony organized at La Meridian Hotel in the capital on Wednesday (April 12) afternoon.

The school authorities said that Hailey bury Valuka has launched the Haileybury Academic Excellence Scholarship Fund with the support of promising students from Bangladesh. Through this fund, students have the opportunity to get merit-based scholarship up to 100%.

The school authorities said that the Hailey bury Academic Excellence Scholarship Fund has been launched with the help of potential students of Bangladesh. Students from Grade-6 onwards will be considered for this scholarship. Students have to give Cognitive Abilities Test 4 (CAT) to apply. As an application qualification, students have to clear Cognitive Abilities Test, Interview and other required subjects. Only students of the institution will get this opportunity.

High-ranking officials from industry, academia and government attended the launching of the Haileybury Academic Excellence Scholarship Fund. Simon O'Grady, headmaster of the school, highlighted the scholarship details and some of the unique features that make the school stand out from the rest.

Dan Pasha, Head of International Trade of the British High Commission in Dhaka, Jim O'Neill, Acting Country Director of British Council Bangladesh and Madiha Murshed, Head of Dhaka International Schools Association were present as special guests in the event.

Deputy Minister of Education Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury said that this Haileybury Scholarship Fund is a unique example of investment towards Bangladesh. Through this, it is understood that the investment of world-class institutions in other sectors including education of the country is increasing.

Simon O’Grady, head teacher of Hailey bury Valuka said, Haileybury will ensure international quality education. We want to focus on building future leadership by taking ideas from the past and embracing the present.

It is mentioned here that Hailey bury School was soft-launched on October 15 last year as a branch of the first international boarding school in Bangladesh. The school has been established in a joint venture with Best Services Limited Group, the largest company in the luxury, hospitality and education sector of Bangladesh and Haileybury, one of the leading independent schools in the UK. As an international boarding school, the school will provide an exceptional experience in English education. The main aim of the school is to develop students to be the best in the Asia region through welfare and world-mindedness. Classes will begin at Hailey bury Valuka soon.
