Dhaka University's 2022-23 academic year Bachelor (Honours) first year Fine Arts Faculty CHA unit admission test will be held today (Saturday). General knowledge and drawing test will be conducted in two phases of this unit from 11 am to 12:30 pm. 7 thousand 96 candidates have applied for 130 seats in this unit. Accordingly, there are 54 candidates per seat.
The admission tests for other units will be held in the divisional cities, but the examination for this unit will be held only in Arts Faculty Building and Social Science Faculty Building of Dhaka University. University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman will visit the Arts Building examination center at 11 am.
In CHA unit multiple choice tests will be held in 40 marks and drawing tests will be held in 60 marks. In the general knowledge test, there will be questions related to different sections of fine arts including Bengali and English, art, literature, culture, history, tradition, contemporary affairs studied at secondary and higher secondary level.
Instructions for candidates
>> The candidate should take the allotted seat in the examination hall 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination.
>> Under no circumstances can the candidate enter the examination hall with books, papers, bags, calculators, cameras, tabs, ATM cards and any electronic devices and devices containing pens, watches, glasses and earphones etc.
>> Only paper will be provided for the 'DRAWING' (Figure Drawing) test. Other equipment ( pencil, eraser, pen and clipboard) should be brought by the candidate.
>> The information required by the candidate as per the admit card should be clearly written in English in capital letters and signed in the prescribed space on the supplied answer sheet. Attendance Sheet must be signed at the designated place.
>> 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in 'General Knowledge' test. Figure drawing exam papers will be evaluated for those who will get 40% marks in the general knowledge test.
>> According to the rules of the University those who get 40% marks will be considered as passed. The merit list will be prepared out of the total 120 marks by adding 20% of the total marks obtained in the secondary/equivalent and higher secondary/equivalent examinations of the candidate to the marks obtained in the admission test.
DU's admission battle this year begins with the admission test of the Fine Arts unit on Saturday. Apart from this, the admission test for Arts, Law and Social Science Unit on May 6, on May 12 Science Unit and on May 13 Business Education Unit will be held.
This time, against 5 thousand 965 seats, about 3 lakh students have applied in 4 units. All unit exams will be held from 11 am to 12.30 pm. The admission test for the three units other than the 'Fine Arts unit' will be held in eight divisional cities including Dhaka as last time. Admission test admit card can be downloaded upto one hour before the start of examination of the concerned unit.
