The hearing of the ruling issued on why the order to file a complaint in the labor court against Nobel Laureate, economist and chairman of Grameen Telecom Dr. Muhammad Yunus should not be cancelled, started on Monday.

In the hearing Dr. Yunus' lawyer Abdullah Al Mamun said, as Dr. Md. Yunus is the advisor of the UN Secretary General, the UN is also monitoring the trial of this case.

The ruling hearing began on the appointed day on Monday in the bench comprising Justice SM Quddus Zaman and Justice Saheed Noor Uddin.

In the hearing Dr. Muhammad Yunus's lawyer said, your court is hearing the case of a person who is the most respected person in the world and Nobel laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus. The government also thinks that he can change the decisions of the government and the World Bank.

Barrister Abdullah Al Mamun told the court that there was an error in the opinion in one of your earlier orders. So we spoke of the fear of not getting justice in your court; But the Appellate Division said, since your court heard this case earlier, it sent it to your court.

Then the High Court said, you could have done a review not to send us to the bench. We would not have fixed the date of hearing if the Appellate Division had not sent it.

On Sunday the High Court fixed Monday for the hearing of the ruling on why the complaint against Muhammad Yunus should not be quashed in the case of violation of the labor law. On Sunday, the same bench rule of the High Court fixed this day for hearing.

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) lawyer Mohammad Khurshid Alam Khan applied for a ruling hearing on the matter of the order of the Appellate Division.

Last August 3 the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court has changed the ruling issued by the High Court on why the order to file a complaint against Muhammad Yunus in the Labor Court should not be cancelled.

On that day, Nobel laureate economist Dr. Md. Yunus filed an appeal. The appeal was heard on the suspension of the rule issued seeking to know why the order of framing of charges against Yunus should not be quashed. The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court ordered the court to change the rule and conduct the hearing in a new bench.

The Appellate Division Bench headed by Chief Justice Hasan Faiz Siddiqui passed the order. Attorney General Abu Mohammad Amin Uddin represented the state in the court.
