HSC and equivalent exams will start on August 17. Education Minister Dipu Moni has said that the coaching center will be closed from August 14 to September 25.
She said this at the meeting of the National Monitoring and Law and Order Committee formed to conduct the upcoming HSC and Equivalent Examination-2023 in a fair, plagiarism-free and positive environment at the International Mother Language Institute auditorium in the capital on Tuesday (August 8) afternoon.
The Education Minister said that the examination of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in HSC will be of 75 marks. Out of this 50 marks were written (20 MCQs, 30 written) and 25 practical. Apart from this, the examination will be conducted in full marks, full time in all other subjects.
Meanwhile, the students of various educational institutions of the capital protested and blocked the roads demanding the postponement of this year's HSC and equivalent examinations.
Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar, Coordinator of Inter-Education Board and Chairman of Dhaka Education Board, said in the morning that the students who raised the demand for postponement of the examination are protesting without understanding. There is no possibility to postpone this exam. The chairman claimed that the examination schedule and marks have been arranged keeping in mind the students.
