Foreign Minister commented that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is a symbol of peace and stability. Dr. AK Abdul Momen said that if Sheikh Hasina becomes the prime minister again in the future, it will be good for the entire region including Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Bhutan.
The foreign minister said this in a conversation with journalists at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday (August 21).
Dr. AK Abdul Momen said that if BNP-Jamaat comes to power, Bangladesh will go to the abyss. We saw their regime from 2001 to 2006. At that time, terrorism, corruption and militancy cropped up in the country. If this happens in the future, the future of the Bengali nation will be plunged into darkness. The people of the country have seen the time of BNP, they are also watching the time of Awami League. Hopefully, they will make the right decision and make Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina win again in the next election.
He said that there is a possibility of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's meeting with the President of China at the BRICS conference in Johannesburg, South Africa. China is our development partner. The relationship between the two countries can be accelerated through various agreements. Besides, we want investment for economic development. For this reason, China will be requested to increase investment in Bangladesh.
He also said that the issue of regional stability is in the discussion between the heads of government of Bangladesh and China. I say everywhere - the world needs peace and stability. This issue will also be discussed in the meeting with China.
