This information was informed in a press release sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate of Health on Monday (August 21).
It is said in the notification that at present, a total of 7 thousand 686 dengue patients are under treatment in various public and private hospitals of the country. There are currently 3,607 dengue patients admitted in public and private hospitals in Dhaka and 4,799 dengue patients in other hospitals.
This year, 1 lakh 2 thousand 191 patients have been admitted and treated in hospitals due to dengue infection across the country. Among them, 49 thousand 328 people received treatment in Dhaka and 52 thousand 863 people outside Dhaka.
Among the infected, 94 thousand 20 people have recovered in the hospital and returned home. 45 thousand 358 in Dhaka and 48 thousand 662 outside Dhaka have recovered and returned home.
485 people have died due to dengue this year.
