Bangkok (Thailand): Not only Thailand, but the biggest event in Asia and world politics today is the homecoming of the country's exiled former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra. He could not return to the country due to the military coup 17 years ago. At this time he was staying in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

He tried to return to Thailand more than 20 times in the last 17 years. But the context of contemporary politics in Thailand was never in his favor. But what happened that he was able to return to the country? Local people are appreciating the charismatic leadership of Thaksin's return to the country in addition to the equation of the ongoing Prime Ministerial election process, reconciliation with the state system.

The Thaksin family is a prominent political family in Thailand. So far three Prime Ministers have come from this business family. And most of the family members have been sent to exile. However, ahead of this election, Thaksin's youngest daughter Pyongyang Shinawatra, whose family name is Ung Ying, and is better known by this name, suddenly emerged in politics in mid-2022.

Just days before the last election, 36-year-old Ung Ying became a mother for the second time. After graduating in political science from the country's top university, Chulalongkorn University, she, like the other two siblings, focused on business. Social media was more adept at publishing lifestyle and travel photos than politics.

In a recent television interview, she said, I am the youngest in the family. So from childhood I considered myself small. But when I travel outside of Bangkok, the plight of the Thai people pains me. I think Thai people need to move on now. They are going through a very difficult life.

In 2022, Ung Ying joined the Phyuwa Thai party founded by her father Thaksin. Social media inspires people with its political presence, speeches given at different times. Finally, Ung Ying is among the three prime ministerial candidates proposed by the Phew Thai Party ahead of the election. However, Sretha Thabsin has been nominated as the final candidate from the party.

Is Ung Ying representing the Thaksin family in politics to bring her father back home? She has always avoided answering such questions. Rather, if a politician commits corruption, he will be punished in the country, but why does he has to flee abroad? Because they don't have confidence in the existing judicial system of the country. Can't believe he will get justice.

Such new ideas and arguments of Ung Ying about father influenced the people of the country. The party which was in the second position by getting 141 seats in the last election is now going to form the government. Because despite receiving the highest number of votes, Pitha, the nominee of the Moving Forward Party who won the election due to media ownership, is no longer able to form the government.

The bullying and ostracism that Ung Ying faced from university to social level just because she was Thaksin's daughter also acted as an enzyme in the formation of public opinion this time. Support for Ung Ying's future leadership of Thailand has also built up widely.

Ung Ying has always denied the explanation of her father coming into politics, but now there is no way to deny it. Even a large section of the country's people believe that all this was done to bring back Thaksin Shinawatra. In which Wong Ying succeeded.
