Tourism Fair and Beach Carnival beginning in Cox's Bazar

A week-long tourism fair and beach carnival is starting at Cox's Bazar beach with grand arrangements in view of the World Tourism Day. This event will start on September 27 at Labani Point on the beach and will continue until October 3.

Various initiatives have already been taken around this event. On Wednesday (September 20) at 7 pm, an exchange of views was held with journalists on the overall preparation of the program at Shahid ATM Zafar Alam conference room of the Deputy Commissioner's office at the initiative of Cox's Bazar district administration.

At this time, the Deputy Commissioner Md. Shaheen Imran said tourism is the main economic driver of Cox's Bazar. Therefore, various initiatives have been taken to increase the attraction of tourists.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Mahfuzul Islam said that a special control room will be opened so that tourists can move around and spend their time freely.

Hotel, motel, transport and restaurant owners are also offering attractive discounts on the occasion of this week-long event. A maximum of 60 percent discount is being given in hotels, motels, guest houses. The authority has given 15 and 20 percent discounts on food in all restaurants and on all bus fares. There are also special discounts on Helicopter Joy Rides, Tube Rentals, Kitcot Chair Rentals, Parasailing Rides, Jet Ski/Beach Bikes, Locker Rentals, Car Parking Discounts, Moon Car Rentals and Air Rentals.

Stars like Chirkut Band, Nishita Barua and Oishi are expected to rock Cox's Bazar around this event.

Deputy Commissioner Md. Shaheen Imran moderated the meeting chaired by Police Super  Mahfuzul Islam. The co-organizers of the program were present in this view exchange meeting.
