Eight people died due to dengue in the last 24 hours. 2889 people have been admitted to the hospital. Among the affected, 789 people have been admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka and 2100 people have been admitted to different hospitals outside Dhaka.
With this, the number of dengue deaths in the country this year has reached 875. The total identified has increased to 179699 people.
This information was disclosed in a press release sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate of Health on Thursday (September 21).
It is said in the notification that at present, a total of 10 thousand 280 dengue patients are under treatment in various public and private hospitals of the country. There are currently 3,696 dengue patients admitted in public and private hospitals in Dhaka and 6,584 dengue patients in other hospitals.
This year, 1 lakh 79 thousand 699 patients have been admitted to hospital and received treatment for dengue throughout the country. Among them, 76 thousand 622 people have received treatment in Dhaka and 1 lakh 3077 people outside Dhaka.
Among the infected 1 lakh 68 thousand 544 people have recovered from the hospital and returned home. 72 thousand 337 in Dhaka and 96 thousand 207 outside Dhaka have recovered and returned home.
