For the second day in a row, several factions of BCL clashed in Chattogram University (CHB). Six Chhatra League workers were injured in a clash between two factions on Thursday afternoon. As a result, the two sides clashed on Friday (September 22) night. In this new clash between two factions created panic among the common students in the campus. After the two-phase clash stopped, the Proctorial body, along with the police, searched two halls and arrested five persons and recovered local weapons.

According to campus sources, the clash between four factions started on Friday evening at 7:30 pm. In the meantime, Chose Friend with Care (CFC) member and joint secretary of Chhatra League president Rezaul Haque Rubel, who is known as a follower of the university's gate number 1, clashed. Bijoy group following Ilyas. At one stage of the conflict, the video of Rezaul being beaten and running has spread on social media.

On the other hand, in front of Shah Jalal Hall, following the incident of Thursday, a group of CFC, followers of Vice President Sadaf Khan, and Sixty Nine Group, followers of General Secretary Iqbal Hossain Tipu clashed. The two sides took positions at Shah Jalal and Shah Amanat Hall and started throwing bricks and stones at each other. Four people from both sides were injured in the clash which lasted for several hours.

Among the parties involved in the conflict are the CFC and Bijay Education Deputy Minister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury, known on campus as a follower of Naufel. On the other hand, the leaders and workers of the Sixty-Nine group do politics behind the general secretary of the city Awami League and former city mayor Azm Nasir Uddin.

Meanwhile, after the conflict came under control, the police started searching in Shah Jalal and Shah Amanat Hall led by Proctoral Body at 10 pm. Two halls were searched for an hour. At this time, the police arrested five people from Shah Amanat Hall. All the arrested persons are said to be foreigners.

Proctor of the university Nurul Islam Sikdar said that two halls were searched to avoid untoward incidents. He said that several iron rods, cricket stumps and indigenous weapons were recovered from the two halls. The situation is now under control. Additional police have been deployed in the campus to prevent any untoward incident.
