Minister of Liberation War Affairs AKM Mozammel Haque has demanded posthumous trial of the killers of four national leaders including Bangabandhu and the proud soldiers of the Army and Air Force in 1977 by forming a Truth Commission (Truth and Accountability Commission).

A discussion meeting was held under the initiative of 'Mayer Kanna' organization on 'Mission-murder of heroic freedom fighter soldier by Zia and misguided human rights of Khaleda Zia's fire terror'.

The meeting was held on Friday (September 22) at 4.30 pm at Rangpur Shilpakala Academy Auditorium.

Speakers in the program said that in 1977, then President Ziaur Rahman killed thousands of army and air force members and abducted their bodies.

Liberation War Minister AKM Mozammel Haque said, some countries talk about our humanity and human rights but where was their humanity when Bangabandhu's family was killed in 1975?

At that time, Liberation War Minister called Ziaur Rahman a murderer and also said that during his time, disappearances, murders and killings started without trial.

He said that Zia started the politics of murder in the country by killing Bangabandhu.

At that time, the minister demanded formation of the Truth Commission (Truth and Accountability Commission) and demanded a posthumous trial for the killers of four national leaders including Bangabandhu and the proud soldiers of the army and air force in 1977.

In addition, he urged the government to stand by the families affected by enforced disappearances and murders, and said that everyone should be vigilant so that terrorist groups of disappearances, murders and arson never come to power in the future.

Under the chairmanship of the organization's Chief Advisor Member of Parliament Nahid Ezahar, Rangpur-2 Constituency Member of Parliament Abul Kalam Md. Ahsanul Haque Chowdhury Duke, Ekush Human Rights Activist SM Abraham Lincoln, Bir Bikram SP Mahbub Uddin Ahmed and Bangladesh Chhatra League President Saddam Hossain spoke as special guests.

Victim's son, daughter, mother, father and victims were present on the occasion.
