3033 people have been infected with dengue in the last 24 hours across the country which is the record number of victims so far this year. On the same day, 19 people died due to dengue. With this, the number of people who died due to dengue this year has increased to 928.
This information was revealed in a press release sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate of Health on Monday (September 25). Among the 19 people who died, 9 are from the capital Dhaka, 10 are from outside Dhaka.
The notification also informed that out of 3033 people admitted to the hospital, 801 people are in Dhaka and 2 thousand 232 people are outside Dhaka. With this, the number of infected people in the country this year has increased to 1 lakh 90 thousand 758 people.
Currently, a total of 10 thousand 147 dengue patients are receiving treatment in the hospital. Among them, 30622 people are in public and private hospitals in Dhaka and 6 thousand 525 people are in hospitals outside Dhaka. And a total of 1 lakh 79 thousand 683 people have returned home after treatment.
A total of 281 people died of dengue in 2022. 27 people died of dengue in the last month of that year, December. At the same time, 62 thousand 382 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue in the year under discussion.
