DMP instructions to take photos of passengers to prevent arson

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has given 10 instructions to the transport owners-workers to take photos of the bus passengers at the stops to prevent arson in the ongoing blockade program called by BNP-Jamaat.

DMP Commissioner Habibur Rahman gave this information on Sunday (November 12) evening.

The instructions are-

Pictures of the bus and passengers must be taken at the stops, passengers cannot be transferred without stopping, the bus assistant will alert the passengers on the bus, instead of parking the bus separately at night, several buses must be kept together in an open place and security must be provided by own guard, the driver and the assistant are the same. Do not leave the car to eat or rest, Special reward has already been announced for information on the saboteur, Driver cannot be allowed to drive alone without an assistant, Sleeping in the bus at night is not allowed, At least one guard must be provided, Bus has two doors. The back door must be closed and the owner must give safety instructions to drivers and assistants and put up warning stickers on buses for passengers.

Earlier in the afternoon, DMP Additional Commissioner Dr. B Mahid Uddin said that Dhaka Metropolitan Police will implement new methods to prevent vandalism. However, he did not clarify what the new method was.
