The fire was brought under control by the efforts of nine units of the fire service in one and a half hours after the terrible fire incident at Zaman Jute Mill in Dighalia, Khulna.
The fire broke out on Monday (December 25) at 9:45 pm. And the fire came under control at 11:23 PM.
The manager of the mill, Ripon Molla, said that he came to know about the fire after returning home from the mill at 9 pm.
Assistant Director of Khulna Fire Service and Civil Defense Farooq Hossain Sikder said, after receiving the news of the fire, nine units of four fire stations in Khulna started working to control the fire. The fire is currently under control. But due to jute fire, damping down work is going on.
