Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun said the police are blessed to stand by the helpless people. Besides maintaining law and order, the police always stand by the common people.
He said this while distributing blankets and winter clothes among the people in the capital's Banani Model School grounds and High Court Shrine on Tuesday (December 26) night.
The IGP said, we are distributing blankets and winter clothes in Dhaka to ease the sufferings of the helpless people. Police is also distributing winter clothes in different districts outside Dhaka. The police are blessed to stand by the helpless people. The peaceful people of the country have always provided cooperation and support to the police.
He said that the police did not hesitate to stand by the common people by risking their lives when there was an extreme disaster of humanity during the corona virus.
In response to a question from journalists, Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun said that Bangladesh Police has taken all preparations to protect law and order according to the instructions of the Election Commission.
