20256 local people will observe the polls at the field level in the 12th JS elections. Central will have 517 people. The total number of observers is 20774 people.
Election Commission Public Relations Director Md. Shariful Alam informed this information on Thursday (December 28).
In a circular, Shariful Alam said that 517 people from 40 monitoring agencies will monitor the vote centrally and 20,256 people from 84 monitoring agencies locally. A total of 20 thousand 773 people will do observation work in the JS election.
In the circular, all Returning and Assistant Returning Officers have been informed about the finalization of the list of observers. There are currently 96 national observer organizations on the EC's register.
As per the schedule announced by the EC, campaigning is now underway after the allotment of symbols to the candidates participating in the elections which will end on January 5. Voting will be conducted through transparent ballot boxes from 8 am to 4 pm on January 7.
