Education Minister Barrister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Naufel has called upon the public representatives to play a strict role in discouraging the opening of KG schools and Qoumi Madrasas everywhere.
He said, you have to do the monitoring. At the very beginning, when entrepreneurs approach you, you discourage them. You are opening a madrasa, kindergarten, who you are, what are your details, what is your background, you must know. It started by renting the floor overnight, it cannot continue like this.
He said these things in a discussion meeting organized with the public representatives on 'What to do to improve the quality of education' at Chattogram Circuit House auditorium on Sunday (January 21) afternoon.

The Education Minister said, I have asked for the information about the number of Noorani Madrasas that have already been approved. Many are not even approved. But continuing. Some children are being used for begging. It is mandatory to obtain approval from the concerned department before opening any madrasa or kindergarten school. But they don't take it. In social reality, it is very challenging to close a school once it is established. After opening, even if the papers are not there, a social pressure is created as to where these children will go.
Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury Naufel called for children to be sent to government Aliya Madrasas for religious education.
He said, in our country there are Aliya Madrasahs run by government syllabus. National Curriculum is taught there. Three specialized subjects are also being taught. So why should we open Noorani Madrasas everywhere to have Aliya Madrasas. If anyone wants to study, he will go to Aliya Madrasa and study. Madrasahs were opened in the name of Hefz teaching, but they became Baikal schools outside of regular schooling.
The education minister also said that the new curriculum, evaluation system has only started from this year. It's not even a month yet.
