Humayun Kabir, the engine master of the ferry, was not found even after 5 days of the Paturia ferry sinking incident. Mourning is going on in Mativhanga village of Bhandaria in Pirojpur, his home village.

He has a wife, two daughters and a son at home. The ferry named Rajnigandha sank last Wednesday morning due to dense fog near ghat No. 5 at Paturia. 20 people on the ferry were rescued alive, but Humayun (39) is still missing.

His daughter Kamrunnahar said that my father has not been found for five days since the ferry sank. We want father back.

Former UP member Mansoor Ali said Humayun Kabir was the only bread earner in their family. Now there is no one left to support them. Two girls and boys’ education is now uncertain. Hopefully the government will take their responsibility.

Pirojpur Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Zahedur Rahman said, he is a government employee. Therefore, all measures will be taken for him as per the government rules.
