Mohammad Saiful Alam said this to reporters while visiting S Alam Refined Sugar Industries affected by fire in Ichanagar village of Karnaphuli Upazila of Chattogram at 11:30 on Tuesday (March 5).

In response to the question whether there will be an impact on the price of sugar in the market due to the fire, the MD of S Alam Group said, "It will take two to one days to go to production. Putting out the fire is our main goal now. There will be no shortage of sugar.

Saiful Alam hopes that unscrupulous traders will not be able to take advantage of this situation. He said, “There are some businessmen who want to capitalize on this kind of situation. However, we already have sufficient stocks of sugar to supply. They will be fixed in a few days.

A fire broke out in the 100,000 ton raw sugar warehouse of S Alam Refined Sugar Industries on Monday (March 4) afternoon. The factory has suffered a lot. Along with the fire service, the army, navy, air force and coast guard also took part in controlling the fire.
