Commenting that BNP does not understand the language of democracy, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that their (BNP) aim is to oust Awami League.

She made this comment at a discussion meeting organized on the occasion of Bangabandhu's birth anniversary at Dhaka district Awami League office in Tejgaon of the capital on Monday (March 18).

Claiming that Awami League has ensured the food security of the people of the country, the Prime Minister said, BNP only eats iftar parties and Awami League only feeds.

Sheikh Hasina said the BNP wants a caretaker government. But the BNP has forgotten how many seats they got in the elections under the caretaker government! She also said that BNP cannot tolerate that the country is moving forward. They are jumping to push the country back again.

She said, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman used to work for the welfare of people since childhood. He had to die in the hands of Bengalis on August 15, 1975 despite his immense faith in people.
