Railway Minister Md Zillul Hakim said no organization wants corruption. We also don't want corruption in railways. There is corruption everywhere in shopping. It happens in many big places too. In that case, the railway is a very small place.
He said these things to reporters when he came to Dhaka railway station on Wednesday (April 3) to inspect the Eid Journey by train.
The Railway Minister said that there is some corruption in procurement even in many reputed places. Still we try not to have any such thing in our rail. We will try to stop all forms of corruption.
On the question about the Eid journey, he said, you have seen that our Railway Ministry has made all preparations so that the passengers can go home safely on Eid. Here we have arranged to increase the number of trains. Special train has been arranged. Separate tickets have been arranged so that those who do not get seats can at least stand. It is not possible for us to send all the people who will go home on Eid.
The Minister said, we have taken measures so that the black marketeer cannot buy tickets this Eid. These arrangements are for the welfare of passengers. We have our own security forces to maintain security besides, RAB, police and other government law and order forces are cooperating with us. We have not faulted our efforts. We have prepared as much as possible.
