Unknown miscreants detonated multiple bombs late at night in the area adjacent to the house of Peshkar Ilyas Bali, son of Kausar Bali, Sarikal Union, Adhuna Bedgarva village, Gournadi Upazila, Barisal district. The entire village is terrified.
Locals said that on Wednesday (April 3) early night, a bomb was thrown at Ilyas Bali's house. One of the bombs exploded in front of the shop. The sound of the bomb blast inside the house caused panic among the family members and the local residents.
Chunnu Babli said, when everyone was sleeping late at night, suddenly everyone was woken up by the loud sound of the bomb. At that time they heard the sound of bomb explosion. Calling the 999 emergency services, the police arrived quickly. Meanwhile, panic prevails among the common people of the area due to the bomb blast incident.
Officer-in-charge of Gournadi police station Anwar Hossain said, last night we received a call on the emergency helpline number 999 and the police rushed to the spot after receiving information about the bomb blast and attack. Some traces of cocktail explosions were found. However, no one could be arrested who caused this incident. Legal measures will be taken subject to the investigation of this incident.
