A youth named Zubairuddin Babu (25) was killed in a clash between two sides of the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal(JCD) in the old Chandgaon police station area of Chattagram city.
There was a clash between the two sides of the Chhatra Dal near the Ward Councillor's office.
He died while undergoing treatment at Chattogram Medical College Hospital on Friday (September 20) evening.
Earlier, the clash took place in front of Ward Council Office No. 4 of the city around 5 pm.
Suman Barua, sub-inspector of Chandgaon police station confirmed the matter and said that there is a turf court in the old Chandgaon police station area next to the councilor's office. Disagreement arose between the two sides of the Chhatra Dal regarding its possession. At this time, two people were injured by stabbing. They were taken to Chattogram Medical College Hospital. Among them, one named Zubairuddin Babu died. The matter is under investigation. Details will be given after the investigation.
According to local sources, this conflict started between Chhota Musharraf and Chhota Amin factions of the BNP over the possession of turf.
