Army has stood by side of the people at a critical juncture of the nation: Chief Adviser

The Chief Adviser of the Interim government Dr. Muhammad Yunus commented that the Army has come in the aide of the people in the crisis of the country.

He said that the Bangladesh Army has saved the country from an unstable situation by speeding up the process of forming the interim government. As a result, the Army has once again been recognized as a symbol of trust by the people of the country.

The Chief Adviser said these things at the inauguration ceremony of the Election Board as the Chief Guest at the Army Headquarters on Sunday (October 6).

The Chief Adviser welcomed everyone to the new Bangladesh, steeped in the revolution of students, workers and masses. He remembered with deep respect all those who died in the anti-discrimination student movement in July-August. He also remembered all the brave soldiers of the Armed forces and Army martyrs who participated in the great war of independence whose sacrifices the nation will always remember with respect.

Dr. Muhammad Yunus said that the Army stood by the people of the country during the crisis and saved the country from an unstable situation by expediting the process of forming an interim government. As a result, Bangladesh Army has once again been recognized as a symbol of trust by the people of the country.

Chief Adviser was welcomed by Chief of Army Staff General Waqar-uz-Zaman on arrival at the venue. The defense secretary was present along with the senior officers of the army in the inauguration ceremony of the headquarters of Election Board.
