The outsourcing workers of various government institutions have blocked the road at Shahbag intersection of the capital demanding nationalization of jobs.
They have blocked the road since 10 am on Saturday (October 19). Due to the blocking of roads by outsourcing workers, severe traffic jams have been created in Shahbagh and its surrounding areas.
It is known that around 10 am hundreds of employees of government institutions gathered at Shahbagh and stopped traffic. Since then the protestors have blocked the road till 12:30 pm. As a result, the vehicles plying on this road have to go to alternative roads.
The agitators said that the previous government had given the policy of exploitation, we have been exploited. We have brought shrouds, blood if needed but still we will not allow our descendants to be oppressed. We have given a peaceful program, we will not create chaos. But time is running out.
