Dhaka: A request has been made not to spread rumors about the medical team of Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the chief advisor to the interim government.

On Tuesday (October 22) night, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Vice Chancellor Professor Md. Sayedur Rahman made this request in a message.

The message said that a medical team has been formed for the treatment of Professor Mohammad Yunus, the chief adviser to the government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. This is a casual matter. Such medical teams are regularly formed for the treatment of heads of state and government. Everyone is being specially requested not to spread any rumors in this regard.

Earlier, on Tuesday, Acting Professor of the Department of Anesthesia Analgesia and Intensive Care Medicine of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Dr. Md. Mostofa Kamal in an office order said that to ensure the emergency medical management of the Chief Adviser, ICU-2 and bed number two have been kept ready at all times in the Intensive Care Unit. A team of seven doctors has been asked to be separately ready for emergency night treatment. Out of the seven doctors, three are cardiac, anesthesiologist and senior doctor. In addition, an ICU specialist doctor has also been kept in the team.

In this regard, the Vice-Chancellor said that this is a routine matter. Such teams are prepared in advance in every department of Bangabandhu Medical University for any head of state. This is not due to the Chief Adviser's illness or anything like that.
