Dhaka: President of the Gono Adhikar Parishad Nurul Haque Nur has said to the agitators protesting in front of Bangabhaban, don’t create chaos by going to Bangabhaban to show your face to the media.
He made this appeal in a post on the social media Facebook on Wednesday (October 23) night.
In the post, Nurul Haque Nur wrote, if the President needs to be removed, he will be removed by following the proper process. Don’t go to Bangabhaban to show your face to the media and create chaos.
It is worth noting that the protesters protested in front of Bangabhaban demanding the resignation of President Md. Shahabuddin. At one stage of the protest, they tried to break the security barricade and enter, but the law enforcement forces prevented them. When the situation became heated, a chase took place between the two sides. Several policemen were injured during this.
The incident took place in front of Bangabhaban around 10 pm on Tuesday (October 22). It is learned that when the protesters tried to break the barricades and enter Bangabhaban at one stage, the army and police stopped them. Some more police members tried to reach the spot to control the situation. At that time, a section of the protesters attacked the police members. Several police members were injured in this. At one stage, a police van was also attacked. The police members in the van were blocked.
