A letter has been sent to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to take action regarding Interpol's red notice issuance for the arrest of Awami League President Sheikh Hasina and other leaders.

The Chief Prosecutor submitted this letter to the IG of Police on Tuesday (November 12). The prosecution agency of the tribunal confirmed this information.

Earlier, after inspecting the renovation work of the old building of the International Crimes Tribunal on Sunday (November 10), Law Adviser Dr. Asif Nazrul had said that the government is going to issue an Interpol red notice to bring back the fugitives including Sheikh Hasina.

Regarding the trial of the Awami League, the Chief Prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal, Mohammad Tajul Islam, said, "We have not yet started an investigation into the trial of the party though we have received complaints. In the investigations we are conducting at the individual level, we are finding the involvement of the Awami League in every place." For example, separate investigations are underway against the Awami League's central presidium, the Jubo League and Chhatra League's central committees. We are constantly receiving evidence of their involvement in genocide and crimes against humanity.
