Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central executive council member and Dhaka City North unit Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin has warned that the Awami League is conspiring to undermine the victory achieved during the July-August uprising.

Speaking as the chief guest at a workers' rally held on Friday (15 November) at Natunbazar Madani Avenue in the capital’s Bhatara, Selim Uddin called for continued resistance against fascist (Awami League).

He said that the struggles of martyrs like Abu Sayeed and Mughdha are not over and urged people to carry forward the movement to permanently eliminate Awami-Baksal politics and counter mafia-centric conspiracies.

“The perpetrators must be brought to justice,” Selim Uddin demanded, calling for unity across all parties and ideologies to build a fascism-free nation. He further claimed that the student-people mass movement was rooted in the vision of creating such a nation.

Highlighting Jamaat’s commitment to establishing a welfare state, Selim Uddin asserted that everyone would enjoy equal rights under Jamaat’s leadership. “We are working to build a discrimination-free country,” he added.

Bhatara Thana unit of Jamaat Dhaka City North organised the rally. Thana Ameer Advocate Rezaul Karim presided over the event and Thana Secretary Ahammad Salman conducted it.

Special guests included Jamaat central working committee member and Dhaka City North Nayeb-e-Ameer Abdur Rahman Musa, along with Secretary Dr. Muhammad Rezaul Kaconductedrim.

Dr. Rezaul Karim urged all people to play an active role in the fight against fascism.

Other speakers at the rally included Dhaka City North Assistant Secretaries Nazim Uddin Molla and Hedayet Ullah, as well as Kutub Uddin, Fazle Ahammad, Abdus Sabur Farhad, Engineer Abul Bashar, Sirazul Islam, and Ahammad Ozayer.
