Dhaka,(barta24.com): To restore discipline in the mass transport system circular bus service has been introduced on Wednesday (march 27) on Dhanmondi-NewMarket-Kalabagan route. DSCC Mayor Md. Syed Khokon formally inaugurated the service.
At that time among others DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam, DMP Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia, BRTC Chairman Md. Farid Ahmed Bhuyian and BRTA Chairman Mashiur Rahman were present.
Through the introduction of these air condition buses of BRTC other buses in this route will be withdrawn. Initially 20-25 buses will ply in this route and the number of vehicles will be increased if necessary. The passengers will have to pay the BRTC fixed rate fair. After every five minutes the buses will leave the designated counters.
The circular bus service will ply to Azimpur via NewMarket-ScienceLab-Dhanmondi Rd. no. 2-Satmasjid Road-Dhanmondi -Sobhanbag- Russel Square-Kalabagan- Dhanmondi Rd. 6- Rd. no.3- Science Lab-_NewMarket-Azimpur-
On the other hand the service will ply from Sobhanbag –Russel square via Kalabagan-Dhanmondi Rd. No. 6 crossing- Science Lab –Bata crossing –Kataban-Nilkhet-Palassy-
There will be 36 stoppages for the service. However the stoppages have been made at the convenient places of this part of the capital city bringing some relief for the city dwellers. The designated places of service are mostly required for city dwellers of this part.
