The revised budget of the outgoing 2018-19 fiscal was Taka 112 crore 95 lakh lakh 23 thousand while the new budget for next fiscal stood at Taka 264 crore 43 lakh 18 thousand.
In the budget document an amount of Taka 41 crore 70 lakh 74 thousand 512 was shown in the revenue head, Taka 13 crore 23 lakh development head, Taka 10 crore 55 thousand in the capital head while Taka 199 crore 48 lakh was earmarked in the project head.
Presenting the budget the mayor sought the cooperation of all particularly the the journalists for the successful implementation of the budget with utmost accountability and transparency.
The proposed budget approved yesterday will be required to get the nod of Pourasahva parishad in the meeting of the councilors to be held soon.
