Dhaka: ‘Barta24.com will not only disseminate news but will also produce entertainment'- keeping this goal in mind the first multimedia outlet is going to produce a song of the Garo people presented in their language.

On Thursday (August 1) morning in the office of the Barta24.com in an impromptu function, Website, You tube, Face Book page and Vimeo page of Barta24 were released by Editor in Chief Alamgir Hossain.

Alamgir Hossain said that if we call it our own multimedia portal then it must contain everything. It should have own production. I have been planning it for a long time. From that thinking we have produced these two songs of the Garos in their language.

Mentioning that the tribal art and culture are very rich, and added that rich art and culture are scattered across in our country. After travelling many places I have seen that the tribal culture is very powerful. Generally we are not accustomed to hear it. Barta24 will highlight these through its own production. Our local rich culture as for example – Baul song, Bhatiali and Bhawiya songs are very popular from time immemorial. Barta24 gradually will also highlight these.

Editor in Chief speaking on Garo tribal language song said that let us present two songs. In one song the natural environment of Birisiri upazilla of Netrokona containing hills, rivers and fountains have been highlighted which is absolutely our own production. Another is a Tagore song. The characteristic of this Tagore song is that it was sung in Garo language. However this song was earlier sung in various languages.

Samapon Snal, a popular musician of Garo community told that this initiative of barta24 is very much encouraging. I felt very much comfort in singing the song. This initiative of barta24.com to highlight the culture of the ethnic group is very much commendable.

Composed by Farid Jambil the song ‘Thippajak Chiring Chima …was sung by Samapon Snal. Lutfar Rahman Mamun was the composer of music while it was directed by Nitol Dibra.
