To hear the verdict of the barbarous Holy Artisan Bakery case a number of foreign media were present in the tribunal of Judge Mujibur Rahman.
Among them Tohru Takeda of GG Press, Japan, journalist Sho Komin of The Yumuri Shimbun and Takesh Narabi of the largest circulated Japanese daily The Ashahi Shimbun.
It may be mentioned here, the Islamists militants killed seven Japanese national working with Jaica.
In the verdict Judge Mujibur Rahman of the anti-terrorisms tribunal, Dhaka sentenced seven accused to walk to gallows while one suspect got acquittal. The militants who awarded capital punishment are Rajib Gandhi, Rakibul Hassan alias Regan, Hatkata Sohel Mahfuz, Hadisur Rahman Sagar, Rashed Islam alias Abu Zarra alias Rash, Shariful Islam alias Khaled and Mamunur Rashid alias Ripon. The convicts were also fined Taka 50 thousand each.
Mizanur Rahman alias Boro Mizan got acquittal as charges were not proved against him.
