In connection with the count down of Mujib Borsho, the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman the sky of Cox's Bazar sea beach was illuminated with hundreds of lanterns. Local and foreign tourists were present at the beach.
The lantern was flown at Labani Point on the beach around 8:30 pm on Friday (Jan. 10) evening. Thousands of tourists enjoyed it.
Earlier, after the inaugural count down of the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, 100 rare photo exhibition of the Father of the Nation, 100 balloons and 100 pigeons, the symbol of peace were released.
Among others Cottogram Divisional Commissioner Abdul Mannan, Cox's Bazar Sadar-Ramu constituency member Syamum Sarwar Kamal, Deputy Commissioner Md. Kamal Hossain, reserved woman MP Kaniz Fatema Ahmed, Superintendent of Police ABM Masud Hossain, district Awami League president advocate Sirajul Mostafa, general secretary of Awami League Mujibur Rahman were present at that time.
