The Jitiyo Oikkya Front(JOF), which was formed around the Eleventh Jatiyo Sangsad (JS), is no more, said the main leader of the alliance and the President of the Gono Forum Dr. Kamal Hossain. However, he hoped that the alliance would be active again.
He made the remarks at a press conference at Chu Wang Restaurant in the capital's Vijayanagar on Saturday (November 13).
The journey of this electoral front styled as JOF started in December 2018 under the leadership of Kamal Hossain. However, this alliance has been inactive since the last election. We will sit down, discuss and decide on this, he told a news conference. However, it is likely to be reactivated, he said.
Dr. Kamal demanded the next JS election under a non-partisan caretaker government. Dr. Kamal Hossain said, we demand the next JS elections under a non-partisan caretaker government as we saw that the elections under party government were not free and fair. That is why we strongly demand that the next elections should be held under a non-partisan government.
Regarding the increase of the price of diesel Kamal Hossain said that the price of everything has been increased on the pretext of increasing the price of fuel oil. In this, the necessities of life are going beyond the purchasing power of the people. It shouldn't be and it needs to be priced lower.
