It cannot be ruled out that BNP will not come to the polls. General Secretary of Awami League and Minister of Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader commented that BNP still has a chance to enter the elections.
He said this in a briefing at the Awami League president's political office in Dhanmondi on Friday (November 24) afternoon.
Obaidul Quader said, we have finalized nominations in four categories. I will be able to announce the candidacy for 300 seats by next Sunday. Some new faces have been included and some old dropped. We have not excluded winnable candidates.
It should be noted that the Awami League Parliamentary Nomination Board meeting is going on for the second day. The party will finalize the candidates for Khulna and Barishal divisions today from this meeting.
According to the information received from the Awami League central office, the party led by Sheikh Hasina has sold 3362 nomination forms this time. In the last election, the number was 4037 people. This time 675 nomination forms were sold less.
