Opposition leader Raushan Ershad commented that it is not possible to participate in the election because the Jatiya Party chairman and general secretary did not cooperate and nominated many qualified candidates.

She also said, I participated in the 2014 and 2018 elections for the sake of the country and democracy. This time I also welcomed the election schedule. But due to non-cooperation of chairman and Secretary General of Jatiya Party, it is not possible to participate in the election as many qualified candidates were excluded from the nomination list.

On Wednesday (November 29) at 7 pm, Raushan Ershad sat in a closed-door meeting with her followers at her residence. The closed-door meeting lasted for two hours. After the meeting, Raushan Ershad informed the reporters about this decision.

On November 22, Jatiya Party released the list of party candidates for 289 constituencies. The difference of opinion between GM Quader and Raushan Ershad on the question of nomination of Raushan followers had reached extreme level. Raushan Ershad did not take the nomination form of the party. Party Secretary General said option will always be open for Raushan Ershad. On the other hand there is only one day left to submit the nomination form for the 12th election. Tomorrow is the last time to be a candidate.

GM Quader agrees to nominate Raushan Ershad, Saad Ershad and Dr. KR Islam. On the other hand, Raushan Ershad demanded to confirm the nomination of 12 people including Moshiur Rahman Ranga, Golam Masih, Professor Iqbal Hossain Raju, Kazi Mamunur Rashid, Ziaul Haque Mrida, SM Fakhruzzaman Jahangir, former state minister Golam Sarwar Milon.

These leaders have been with Raushan Ershad for a long time. None of these leaders associated with the Raushan Ershad declared conference preparation committee has any post in the Jatiya Party. Some have been voluntarily inactive, while others have been expelled. Besides, Debar-Bhabi (GM Quader-Raushan Ershad) cannot agree on Rangpur-3 seat of Rahgir Al Mahi Saad Ershad. Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader wants to contest the election himself by removing the current MP Saad Ershad in that seat.

The distance increased as the boy pulled the seat. After the death of Hussain Muhammad Ershad, son Saad Ershad was elected Member of Parliament from Rangpur-3 (Sadar) seat in the by-election. On November 20, nomination papers for Rangpur-3 seat were collected on behalf of GM Quader. GM Kader was elected from Lalmonirhat seat in the last few parliaments.

Raushan Ershad is very upset with Devar's behavior. If necessary, she wants to stay away from the elections, but she is unwilling to leave her followers and go to the elections.
