No anti-election speech at victory rally: Home Minister

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said, express joy on the day of victory, but nothing can be said against the election.

The Home Minister said this in response to a question from reporters after laying wreaths at the Rajarbagh Police Lines Memorial at 8:30 am on Saturday (December 16).

In response to a question about BNP's victory rally, he said that since the month of victory is the day of victory, we are not allowing anyone to express the joy of victory. However, they must refrain from obstructing the election, speaking against the election, campaigning.

The Home Minister said, they (BNP) have been asked to prepare a roadmap and hold a victory rally. Accordingly our DMP Commissioner has given them permission so that a peaceful rally can be held. They mention the place and follow it as they rally.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission (EC) has said that no anti-election gatherings can be held from December 18 till the end of polling. In this regard, the minister said, if anyone violates the law and commits violence after December 18, the law and order forces will take strict action against them.
