Seat sharing with JP: A.League in the second round of closed door meeting

The General Secretary of Awami League has held a meeting with the senior leaders of the party for the second round regarding the distribution of seats in the upcoming national elections. Before this, the first meeting was held in the evening. Awami League will hold a final meeting with the Jatiya Party(JP) last night.

The first meeting was held on Saturday (December 16) evening at the party president's political office in Dhanmondi. The second meeting was also going on in the same office.

It was seen on the ground floor that Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader came to the office around 5:30 pm. Awami League's organizing secretary Mirza Azam came shortly after, followed by Prime Minister's adviser on private industry and investment Salman F Rahman. The party's general secretary Obaidul Quader was preceded by organizing secretary BM Mozammel Haque.

According to sources, Prime Minister's advisor on private industry and investment Salman F Rahman went to Obaidul Quader's room after coming to the office. Then they closed the door of the office secretary's room and held a meeting. After meeting for about half an hour, all the leaders left the office.

The source also said that the meeting was called again after about one and a half hours of the first meeting. Around 9:30 pm in the night, party general secretary Obaidul Quader, Prime Minister's adviser on private industry and investment Salman F. Rahman, organizing secretary BM Mozammel Haque, Mirza Azam, office secretary barrister Biplab Barua, information and research secretary Dr. Salim Mahmud, Executive Member Mohammad A Arafat and Deputy Secretary Sayem Khan. The meeting was ongoing till the writing of this report.
