Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader said to the party candidates in his constituency Noakhali-5 (Companiganj-Kabirhat) that he will not lobby for anyone. Candidates should be won by popularity.
He said that all the candidates should follow the code of conduct in the upcoming 12th Jatiya Sangsad elections. There is news if someone fouls.
He said these things in an election road rally at Basurhat in Companyganj of Noakhali on Friday (December 22) afternoon.
Obaidul Quader said, Bangladesh must be saved to save democracy. If we want to save democracy, we have to save the constitution. To save the liberation war of Bangladesh, Awami League must be saved.
The central leader of Awami League started his campaign by visiting the graves of his parents at the family graveyard at Bara Rajapur village of Basurhat pourashava at 3:30 in the afternoon.
His younger brother Abdul Quader Mirza, Mayor of Basurhat pourashava of Companyganj, Noakhali and President of Upazila Awami League, leaders and activists of Awami League and affiliated organizations were present.
