The last election public meeting of the ruling Awami League will be held on January 4 in Narayanganj. Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina will address the public meeting.
AKM Shamim Osman, Member of Parliament for Narayanganj-4 Constituency and candidate of boat disclosed the news at a press conference at Chashara Rifle Club on Thursday (December 28) afternoon.
Shamim Osman said that the Prime Minister will hold the last rally of the election campaign in Narayanganj instead of Dhaka. We are proud of the way she rated us. Awami League General Secretary and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has confirmed to us that Sheikh Hasina will hold a rally at AKM Shamsuzzoha Stadium in Narayanganj on January 4 at 2:30 PM.
He further said that this election is very important as we have to compete with opponents as well as fight with invisible forces.
Shamim Osman said that he wants to hold a large commemorative rally in Narayanganj and said that he will tell the party leaders and workers to ignore all obstacles and appear at Shamsuzzoha Stadium by 2 pm on that day. We believe that day will be the largest gathering in memory. 1 lakh 25 thousand people can pray in Eid congregation in this stadium. Accordingly, there will be a place for two and a half lakh people. There are roads as well. Central leaders along with general secretary of the party will be here. Many leaders of the party may not be in the field due to personal reasons during the election campaign. The district and city president, Mayor Selina Hyat Ivy, may not have campaigned for some reason. However, Mayor Ivy will attend the January 4 rally. Hopefully, we will be together on the rally stage.
District Awami League general secretary Abu Hasnat Shahid Badal attended the press conference. Senior Vice President of Metropolitan Awami League Chandan Sheel, General Secretary of Metropolitan Awami League Khokon Saha, Joint General Secretary of Metropolitan Awami League Shah Nizam, Joint General Secretary G. M. Arman and organizing secretary Zakirul Alam Helal and others were present.
