Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is going to Kalkini in Madaripur on Saturday (December 30) for the election campaign. She will reach Kalkini Syed Abul Hossain College ground of Madaripur-3 constituency by road from Tungipara. She will address the public meeting at 3 pm.
According to party sources, Madaripur district and Kalkini Upazila Awami League have taken extensive programs around the Prime Minister's arrival. Leaders and activists are waiting to receive the Prime Minister, while local residents are waiting to catch a glimpse of the Prime Minister.
Acting Principal of Kalkini Syed Abul Hossain College Mojibur Rahman said, we are happy that the Prime Minister will come to our college grounds. I am making a demand to her for the nationalization of college in upazila quota.
Meanwhile, extra security has been taken in the area around the Prime Minister's election visit.
Kalkini Upazila Awami League has organized this meeting. According to related sources, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will attend the election meeting in Kalkini for the first time.
Abdus Sobhan Mia Golap, Publicity and Publication Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League said extensive preparations have been made by the district and upazila Awami League to make the Prime Minister's visit smooth. There is also great joy among the activists. It is hoped that lakhs of people will attend.
Superintendent of Police Masood Alam said strict security measures have been taken in Kalkini around the Prime Minister's visit. All preparations have already been completed. District Police, Armed Police Battalion, RAB and various intelligence agencies are working at the field level for security in the area.
