The BNP has called a hartal from 6:00 am on Saturday (January 6) to 6:00am on Monday (January 8) to boycott the 12th national election.
The announcement was made by the team on Thursday (January 4).
Earlier, BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced the program of rallies across the country for January 5, Friday at a virtual press conference at the party's Nayapaltan central office.
The BNP has been observing blockades and hartals in different phases since the clash between leaders and activists and police centering the party's grand rally in Dhaka on October 28. The party has been conducting mass contact and leaflet distribution programs since December 24.
