Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina commented that the Election Commission is working completely independently on the 12th JS elections on January 7.
She said, "This is the first time that the Election Commission has been formed in Bangladesh through law." The Election Commission has been given financial independence. Administration and law enforcement agencies are placed under the Election Commission. The election commission is conducting the election completely independently. Our government is giving all kinds of support to the Election Commission to conduct fair and peaceful elections.
She said this in an address to the nation on Thursday (January 4) at 7 pm.
The prime minister said that whenever Bangladesh Awami League comes to power, the people of the country are economically and socially improved. Whenever we came to power, we have provided food, security, medical care, housing, education, employment and massive infrastructure development to the people.
The head of government said that the Awami League government for 3 consecutive terms from 2009 to 2023 has kept the nation on the path of building a democratic country on the basis of equality and justice through public welfare oriented and well-coordinated planning while maintaining democratic trends and stability. A sustainable foundation for building a developed Bangladesh has already been established. Bangladesh has achieved the status of a developing country. Bangladesh's progress as a developing country will begin from 2026.
Sheikh Hasina said, implementing the opportunities and challenges to develop Bangladesh as a developing country; It can be dealt with only if Awami League is in power. By implementing Bangladesh as a developing country, we have formulated a vision plan to build a developed and prosperous Smart Bangladesh by 2041. The vast young society with potential will be the main craftsman of building Smart Bangladesh. The power of youth is the progress of Bangladesh.
