He said this while presiding over a joint meeting at the Awami League central office at 23 Bangabandhu Avenue on Wednesday (January 17) afternoon.

Obaidul Quader said, 'One group in Bangladesh is not able to like this election. Now saying this is illegal. How to get validation? Will the February 15 style farce election be valid? Magura style election, Dhaka-10 election, these were not long ago.
General Secretary of Awami League said, 'How independent was the Election Commission in this election. If you notice, you will see that the candidacy of the government party has been cancelled, some candidates have been mourned. Some even called candidates and scolded them. Can anyone else show this example? Sheikh Hasina has left a shining example for the democracy of Bangladesh.
He said, 'There are no people with BNP, neither are the people. This is why they failed in the movement. They did not come to the election because they would have actually lost the election. From top to bottom, all the leaders and activists are in despair. BNP has become a camp of extreme disappointments.'
