Lakhs of students flocked to Dhaka on Monday (August 5) in the 'March to Dhaka' program called by the anti-discrimination student movement. In such a situation, the former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left the country by submitting her resignation letter to the President.
Sheikh Hasina submitted her resignation at Bangabhaban at around 2:30 pm and left for India in a military helicopter. Younger sister Sheikh Rehana was with him at that time. No minister-MP of Awami League was with Sheikh Hasina in the helicopter.
Immediately after the resignation of Sheikh Hasina, the influential people covered their heads. Awami League government ministers and MPs could not be reached even by calling some of them to find out where they are.
It is believed that they have sheltered under the changing conditions. They will wait until the situation is favorable.
Sheikh Hasina resigned from the post of Prime Minister in the afternoon of the mass movement of students under the banner of anti-discrimination student movement and left the country.
