Commenting that the police of Bangladesh are not the enemy of the people, Acting Chairman of BNP Tarique Rahman said that a force is trying to destroy the morale of the police. So that Bangladesh becomes a dysfunctional state.
He said these things while joining a rally organized in front of the central office of BNP in Naya Paltan of the capital on Wednesday (August 7) afternoon.
Tarique Rahman said, if you have a complaint against any policeman, file a complaint at the right place. But don't take the law into your own hands.
Referring to Sheikh Hasina's government, he said, Bangladesh has been held captive for 15 years. People are locked in ‘Aina Ghar’. Today the door of democracy has been opened, the country has become independent. Congratulations to the students of Bangladesh.
He said, because of your united movement, Sheikh Hasina fled the country. Liberation War Bangladesh never accepts defeat.
He said, people who love freedom do not accept any conditions for the protection of freedom. As a result of the student movement, the people of the country saw a new freedom in 2024. Conspiracy is going on to destroy the ongoing achievements of the country. All should be protected above caste and religion.
Tariq Zia said, set an example by standing as a shield to ensure the safety of everyone regardless of religious identity wherever they live. Standing in the territory of Bangladesh, the identity of all the people is one Bangladeshi.
He said, the police are not the enemy of the people. Elected without a vote, Sheikh Hasina forced the police to stand against the people. After the escape of Sheikh Hasina, a gang is trying to break the morale of the police. They want to create an unstable situation in the country.
If anyone wants to commit a crime in the name of BNP, hand him over to the law. If someone violates the rules, report him to the police. No one will take the law into their own hands. Please do not take the burden of justice in your hands, he said.
He also said that criticism or anarchy cannot be the solution to anarchy. Administration is most important in making it timely.
Merit should have priority in recruitment or promotion. Foreign dependence should be reduced for development. The problem of unemployment should be solved by creating employment in the country. Rule of law must be ensured to ensure justice for all.
Power should be transferred to the elected government at the earliest. If everyone is united, we can build a safe country for the youth of the country.
